NUSA TENGGARA TIMUR

The regency of Manggarai is a tropical destination, blessed with rice fields, waterfalls, volcanoes, white sand beaches, coral reefs, and the world's largest monitor lizard. It encompasses the western end of Flores and the group of islands comprising the Komodo National Park, home of the carnivorous komodo "dragon" Rustic fishing villages, ancient weaving traditions, ritual battles and a remarkable ecosystem above and bellow the clear warm waters make Manggarai one of the most fascinating places to explore in the Indonesian archipelago.

Flores is a rugged island with dramatic volcanoes, beautiful mountain lakes, grassy savannahs an even some mountain forests. Labuan Bajo , Pulau Bidadari has the best views of the harbor with excellent snorkeling, sunbathing and swimming. Sumba is a dry island south of Komodo, distinguished by spectacular rituals, huge megalithic gravesites, peaked houses and beautiful ikat cloths.
